Welcome To The 2nd Annual
Arkansas Bone & Joint Bryant Kids Triathlon
The Arkansas Bone & Joint Kids Triathlon will be held June 2nd, 2012 @ 8:00AM, and is designed for any child, ages 5-15, regardless of athletic ability or prior triathlon experience who like to swim, bike, and run.
TRIATHLON CLINIC!! There will be a FREE Triathlon Clinic on Saturday, May 19th from 8:30AM to 10:00AM. Please bring your bike, helmet, shoes, towel, swim suit and goggles. We will go over the basics of a triathlon, how to transition from swim to bike, and from bike to run, and how to train. You do not have to be registered to attend the clinic.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST!!! The Bryant Senior Activity Center will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast the morning of June 2nd at Bishop Park.
From 7am – 11am. Adults $6 and Kids (5-17) $3. Kid 4 and under are free! There will be pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee.
NEW THIS YEAR are RELAYS! There will be male, female, and co-ed relay divisions this year for ages 7-10 and 11–15. You must have at least 2 people to do a relay with a max of 3.
The courses and distances were created to be achievable for all athletes and is intended to expose the young participants to the sport of triathlon.
Triathlon is a great way for kids to experience individual accomplishment and have fun at the same time!
The event will be held at the new Aquatics Center and Sports Complex at Bishop Park. Each competitor will receive a t-shirt and each finisher will receive a finishers medal.
More About The Event
The race starts at 8:00AM. We recommend that you arrive at the race site at 6:15AM.
The race location is at Bishop Park in Bryant. The start and finish will be at Bishop Park on Boone Road.
Parking for the event will be the parking lots at Bishop Park, the Bryant Boys and Girls Club, and extra parking will be available at the ball fields.
You will be directed where to park when you arrive.
All participants should have their bikes and shoes set up in the transition area (on the south side of the Aquatic Center) before 7:40.
